A VISIT WITH BUSIA COUNTY WIMA MOBILISER (center)

Mrs. Josephine Nyangweso is the Wives of Incarcerated Men Advocacy (WIMA) support group mobiliser for Busia County. WIMA as a project of AFIFA projects to reach 495 women in all the 33 sub-counties that it operates in. These women are organized into support groups where they can build and grow one another, socially, psychologically and economically. Mrs. Josephine Nyangweso is one of the support group mobilisers. Her role is to reach out to all the women who suffered incidental incarceration of their spouses. She is also a victim and has been a great pillar in ensuring her fellow women and mothers do not feel all alone in the backlash of incarceration.
